Patrick is a crystal hand engraver who started his career with an irish crystal company in the early seventies, where he served an apprenticeship to become a master crystal engraver.
His work quickly received acclaim for his unique style of engraving and artistic ability. His work started to be collected by people from all over the world. He then moved to England in the late seventies where he set up an engraving department within a crystal factory in the Lake District and there he taught his craft to other young apprentices.
He and his wife Marian, set up their famous Artcrystal studio at Low Wood, Haverthwaite in the mid-eighties and he worked there for 19 years showing his craft to thousands of tourists and gaining a reputation of world renown. In that time he has been commissioned to do special one-off pieces for The Vatican, The White House, Royal Families of Britain & Europe, Sultans, Celebrities of Stage and Sport and also private crystal collectors throughout the world.
His reputation of having a unique style of near photographic quality engraving has made his work distinct and very desirable to collect. He has perfected the art of sculpturing out of the crystal over the past four years which is a totally new concept for hand engraving. You will see examples of this exquisite work in his prestige collection.
Artcrystal decided to move to a more central location in July 2002 and have now opened their beautiful new studio and gallery on Main Street, Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria.

You can choose any piece while at the studio and have it engraved while you are there for that special occasion.
The studio is open Monday to Saturday 10.00am to 5.00pm.
